Who's Ready To Get Artistic With FLOWERS?Inspired by my great friend Denise at 2LilOwls.Com, I've been having some fun with FLOWERS again! I'd gotten to the point over the past several years where flowers bored me. Denise has created a fabulous new workshop called Let's Get Creative With Flowers and it has re-inspired my love for these delicate beauties of nature! I created this image earlier in the week and have had so many great comments and requests for a video on it, I decided to do a quick run down on my process.  For the video today, I chose to work with this little orange wildflower:  As you can tell, it's not a great photo. :) I was set up for birds, the birds flew away, so I turned around, saw this and just shot it. I haven't gotten into all the meat of Denise's work with the lenses as she presents in her new workshop, so I decided to just play with Topaz Lens Effects to see if I could come up with something similar, as if I had used some of Denise's lens techniques...and this is what I came up with:  If you want to see how I went even more artistic to get a similar technique as the first photo in this blog post, watch this video: And here's a look at the finished image from the video:  Now if you want to really learn TONS more on how to get more creative with your flower art, be sure to check out Denise's workshop - it has hours and hours of videos which will take you into dimensions you've never even thought of with your flower photography and art!
