I started the Daily Texture project in the fall of 2014 to challenge myself to create something new every day. Not long after I started publishing the art created with my painted background textures, requests came in from other artists who wanted to purchase the textures. I'd never thought of selling them, but after enough requests, I asked myself why not? And so the decision was made in November 2014 over the Thanksgiving holiday -- I would offer my textured backgrounds for sale to others.
Honestly, I never thought it would become this popular. The project began on my artist website with offering single textures, which were a big hit. Almost immediately, I began receiving requests for collections or bundles. My artist site isn't really set up for that service, so I set up this website to handle the collections, which I've been slowly adding as I have time to finish them. In August 2015, my artist website provider began having some issues. By mid-September 2015, the issues became so severe my artist site would be out of commission for hours a day. Despite the fact we were told it was being repaired, fixed, changed, etc., the issues have continued. It was then I decided the Daily Textures all need to be in one place. So here we are today, with both the individual textures AND the bundles available on one {reliable!} website. DailyTexture.Com now brings you even more textures, available in collections format. These collections are being presented in order to help you create larger bodies of work in complimentary color tones and styles. When you purchase a collection, you can be assured that every piece of art and every design you make with the resources in the collection will interact well with each other to create a cohesive grouping of images which will appeal to your collectors and clients. Our same royalty-free, commercial use license applies to the collections offered and all included resources in the collections. Here on the new website, you now have the opportunity to build your own personalized collection of individual textures, and when you sign up to receive our newsletters, you will also receive valuable coupons to use on the bundles you create. |
