Today's Daily Texture is a bold, bright and colorful one and will add energy and fun to any image!  I paired it with one of my {hundreds of} bluebird photos.  This right here is a prime example of why I love using textures.  I literally have hundreds of photos of the bluebirds sitting on my basketball goal.  It's a favorite place they love to land.  And since the angle and lighting is usually good in that area, I can't resist taking photos of them.  But what will one do with tons of bluebirds perched on a basketball goal photos?  ADD TEXTURES TO THEM!  Each time you choose a different texture to add to a similar photo, you create a whole new work of art.  I love the versatility of using my similar photos taken in the same location to create all new works of art, simply by adding different textures to them!

I masked away the bluebird's background and blended the texture right over part of him and the basketball goal, similar to the way I describe in the "Working With The Nature Splash Collection" video on the tutorials page.  Then I duplicated the texture and placed it on top, setting it to Color Dodge mode at about 12% just to add a bit of brightness overall.
