The Ignited Petite Texture Collection features 1 abstract square painted background texture in 8 color tones, all with a heavy canvas texture. For wildlife, domestic animals, still life, people, landscapes, architecture and more of your favorite subjects, these textures bring an exciting, artful painted look to your fine art! Note: These work extremely well with your more abstract Topaz Impression paintings!
Use these textures "as is" to add a painterly feel to your photographs by placing them on a layer under your subject and masking away the subject's original background. Using your transform tool in your software, you can stretch them and position them exactly where you need them for your art. You can also use these textures as overlay layers to enhance existing photos or to add unique color tones throughout your artistic images. These also make wonderful beginning backgrounds for your digital paintings!
This collection contains a total of 8 textures, all for one low price. Download is presented as ONE (1) large zip file. Textures are 6000x6000 pixels in size and are large size JPG files. Due to the large file size, the download may take several minutes to complete, depending on the speed of your internet connection.

^ How It Was Made ^
• First, I edited my photo a bit, and then I placed it as a new layer on top of the first background in this collection.
• I resized the photo layer to fit the square textured background.
• Then I masked away the background on the photo layer using a big, soft brush. This brought the texture in from underneath.
• I lowered the opacity of the masking brush, and brushed right over the edges of the subject, bringing some of the texture right into the bird's feathers.
• I decided the initial texture wasn't exactly the right coloring for my bird. So I clicked on the bottom texture layer, and opened one of the other colors in this collection as a new layer under the bird. I did this several times until I decided which one looked best as the background with my bird.
• Then I opened another color from the collection as a new layer on top of the entire stack of layers. I set the layer mode of that layer to Hard Light, and reduced the opacity to between 30-40%. I also lowered the color saturation of that layer, so the color tones of the piece would stay the same. Adding this hard light layer in this manner brought in some texture over the bird.
• I merged all of the layers together at this point, and adjusted the exposure up a bit to brighten the image as a whole.
• Now the art is ready for sale -- or perhaps I may take it farther and create a painting from the image. :)
