What's New?
Check out my new course! How To Paint Photos In Procreate...Expressive Portraits of Birds, Wildlife and Pets
2020...It's been a year of crazy, unpredictable, and unprecedented events and change. And I've found myself art journaling more and more. Just sitting down with a material, a medium, a color, a feeling, a mood, and putting things together with no plan in place, just to see what comes about. It's been a year of asking "What If?", which is a great place to start with art, because I think asking that question brings on a uniqueness and originality and expression which is free. Free from the confines of what's expected, free from self-doubt, free from sadness of what has been lost, and opening up new avenues, new doors, new ideas, new art -- all from deep within the heart and soul.
The artistic textures and backgrounds in my art journal series have no plan. Some are similar, with a color and lighting change, which creates a whole new look to the art. Some aren't similar at all, because sometimes, when asking what if and trying something new, something unexpected -- but appealing -- comes to life. I'm putting them all together in this new Art Journal Series, where you get exactly what I've created during my art journal time, a time when I'm totally into just expressive creativity. I hope you enjoy creating art with this series just as much as I do! ~Jai Johnson |
The new Daily Texture Stock Photos Category features various accents, elements and subjects which you may use to integrate in with your photo art.
The photos included in these collections are completely unedited {except for some cropping} and are ready for you to mask away the backgrounds and integrate these elements into your photo art as accents, props, etc. Using these photo collections, you can create unique and interesting scenes with your subject photo to add whimsy, tell a story, create a mood, etc. Pairing the elements in these stock photos with your own subject photos, and then blending them with our various texture packages, gives you the ability to create some amazing, storytelling photo art! |
I've had a few people message me about the single textures being gone - but did you know I have a Petite Collections Category? Each collection contains four {4} or more resources for you to play with and create a small series of work. Mixing the resources together in different layer modes and opacities can give you even more textures, which you can then save separately for future use, too!
This category is fabulous for those who are on a budget, or who simply want a new, small collection to play with when creating new art. New sets in this category are being added monthly now, and as a result, I expect this category to seriously expand throughout 2021. :) Please stop by and take a look: |
